Frequently Asked Questions

  • Direct primary care will provide you with quicker access to your personal physician. In the insurance based model of care, providers are forced to see more patients in shorter visits and follow insurance restrictions. Direct primary care patients also have access to dramatically reduced prescription medications and lab charges. Many patients save money after joining a DPC.

  • Charging a monthly fee allows us to provide care that is direct to what each patient needs. By removing insurance companies as payer, we are able to remove the unnecessary paperwork and authorizations and increase the time the doctor can spend with each patient. The set monthly fee also allows patients to budget for their healthcare by eliminating co-pays and extra charges.

  • Billing insurance takes a lot of time and money, we do not bill insurances so that we can spend more time with our patients. We do encourage all patients to carry insurance for catastrophic coverage in case of an emergency but insurance is NOT required to be a member.

  • Concierge medicine charges you AND the insurance company. Concierge providers still must work within the restrictions of the insurance company. Concierge practices are typically more expensive.
